Flying Fish Cove runs a small permanent staff within both the Winery and the Administration. During Vintage and at other appropriate times, casual and part-time staff are taken on to assist and cover the workload.

Flying Fish Cove is one of Margaret River’s largest wineries only 25 minutes north of the township in the Wilyabrup sub-region.

    We maintain a busy winery year-round and are looking for a Full Time Laboratory Manager to join our small team.

    The successful applicant should have prior experience. We will require the successful applicant to cover the required analysis workload which will vary during the year.

    The hours required to fulfil this position will include the vintage period which will require a 6 days/week commitment during this period.  

    A positive attitude and a willingness to take responsibility for each assigned task is essential. 

    Nature and scope

    1. The incumbent is responsible for completion of all day-to-day Laboratory operations as instructed by the Chief Winemaker.
    2. The role requires a high level of communication and liaison with the Winemakers to ensure that outcomes can be achieved, and standards maintained.
    3. During the vintage period the Laboratory role will be supported by a full time casual.  
    4. At all times the incumbent will ensure that the Laboratory plant and equipment maintains a high standard of cleanliness and function.
    5. Remuneration will be based upon experience and qualifications.

    Cellar Operator Job Flying Fish Cove Winery Margaret River

     Cellar Operator (Full Time)

    We are seeking the services of a full-time Cellar Operator. The position is based in the Winery cellar area.

    Job Requirements

    The successful applicant will be required to:

    • Work closely with the Winemaking team to achieve the timely completion of all cellar related tasks within the winery.
    • Assist in the daily winemaking processes of juice and wine production, including daily cellar tidy up.
    • Read and understand all Flying fish Cove standard operating procedures.
    • Ensure that all work is completed accurately and within allocated times.
    • Maintain a friendly, professional and enjoyable work environment.
    • Show a willingness to adopt flexible working hours including normal vintage hours.
    • Be committed to remain in the position.
    • Previous cellar experience and knowledge of the winemaking process is preferred.
    • A current Forklift license is essential for this role.
