WINE REVIEWS

"A delicious yet simple offering appropriate at this price point. Made without any new oak so it’s about freshness and drinkability today. Spiced dark plums and squishy raspberries flavoured with tamarind and Middle Eastern spices. Barely medium bodied with light, textural tannins and lemony acidity that keep this buoyant." - 91 points, Jane Faulkner - Halliday Wine Companion.

WINEMAKERS NOTES

The 2024 vintage delivered some impeccable parcels of fruit, and this Syrah style wine is no exception. We decided to bottle this wine earlier than in previous years as we wanted to capture the vitality and freshness of the intense black fruit characters. Tightly woven and intense in its youth, we expect this wine to evolve and unfurl over the coming years.

Winemaking

Machine picked fruit from the Ridge Farm vineyard is delivered to the winery where it is crushed and de-stemmed to a static fermenter. During the fermentation the wine is pumped over the skins twice a day to facilitate colour and tannin extraction.

Maturation for this wine was held in a mix of seasoned French oak Puncheon and Barrique.

This wine has been filtered and bottled without any additional finings and is a great representation of a modern Syrah style wine.
