Field Notes: Vintage 2025

Vintage at Flying Fish is always a little different, with each year bringing new faces and fresh perspectives to the winery.

As the crack of dawn breaks, secateurs in hand, harvest kicks off with Chardonnay picking.  The steady rhythm of the picking crew working through the vines, ensuring the fruit moves from vineyard to the winery.

The vintage crew gather from all over of the globe, spending their days sampling, tasting ferments, processing, cleaning and punch downs.

When the work’s done, it’s time for a dip in the Indian Ocean or a sunset surf. It’s the Margaret River way: hard work, great wine, and a lifestyle that’s hard to beat.

We’re now halfway through our 24th vintage at Flying Fish, with the last of our whites picked - and the reds still to come.
