Bouquet: A wonderful bouquet of raspberry, blueberry, plum and black cherry.
Palate: The palate of this wine is all about purity of fruit and an elegant balance of dark and brooding fruit characters and the gravelly, ferrous tannins so often seen in red wines from Margaret River.

WINEMAKING

The 2025 vintage delivered some impeccable parcels of fruit, and this Syrah style wine is no exception.

We decided to bottle this wine earlier than in previous years as we wanted to capture the vitality and freshness of the intense black fruit characters.

Tightly woven and intense in its youth, we expect this wine to evolve and unfurl over the coming years. Machine picked fruit from the Wildberry vineyard is delivered to the winery where it is crushed and de-stemmed to a static fermenter.

During the fermentation the wine is pumped over the skins twice a day to facilitate colour and tannin extraction. Maturation for this wine was held in a mix of seasoned French oak hogshead.

This wine has been filtered and bottled without any additional finings and is a great representation of a modern Syrah style wine.

VITICULTURE

Grown on the Wildberry farms property in Wilyabrup. Managed using an open and sprawling style of canopy allowing for maximum light penetration which in-turn encourages development of ripe red and black fruit characters.
